Check out some of the companies making the biggest moves midday: Mara Holdings — The digital infrastructure provider slid 2% after JPMorgan double-downgraded to underweight from overweight. The bank said competitors have more direct growth and value acceleration opportunities tied to data centers than Mara. Rum Group — The AI infrastructure and video company with close ties to the Trump administration surged 18%. The Information reported that Anthropic reached a six-year, $13.7 billion deal for Rum Group to provide computing power. Chip stocks — Chip stocks fell after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and senior executives in artificial intelligence called for a slowdown in the development of AI capabilities. Nvidia eased nearly 3%. Intel and Advanced Micro Devices dropped 4% each and Marvell Technology retreated almost 6%. Energy stocks — Several energy producers gained in the wake of higher prices for West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude oil as tensions in the Middle East simmered. APA advanced 2% while EOG Resources added 1.6%. Cybersecurity stocks — The group saw strong gains as worries around AI safety increased following warnings from industry leaders Dario Amodei and Sam Altman that the technology may be developing too quickly. First Trust Nasdaq Cybersecurity ETF (CIBR) added 6%, Amplify Cybersecurity ETF (HACK) climbed more than 7% and Global X Cybersecurity ETF (BUG) soared 10%. Cybersecurity providers Palo Alto Networks jumped 13% and Zscaler and CrowdStrike both soared 15%. AI infrastructure stocks — Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise fell almost 9% following growing concerns about AI development and safety. Evercore ISI downgraded HPE to inline from outperform. IT solutions provider Super Micro Computer fell 6%. Affirm — Shares added more than 3% following a Wolfe Research upgrade to outperform. The researcher said there’s a buying opportunity after Affirm’s recent post-earnings decline. Baldwin Insurance Group – The insurance distribution company jumped almost 8% after agreeing to go private. An entity formed by Sequence Holdings and DFO Management will buy Baldwin in an all-cash transaction valued at $32.50 a share, or $7.7 billion. Elmet Group – The maker of precision-engineered parts soared 36%. The Department of War announced a $450 million investment in the company, aiming to strengthen the nation’s tungsten supply chain. Elmet plans to use more than $165 million of the proceeds to expand critical infrastructure facilities in Maine, Michigan and Ohio. Roblox – The gaming platform jumped more than 11% after announcing new capabilities at its developers conference .
