Elon Musk-backed artificial intelligence company xAI has come up with Grok Imagine 1.0, marking its biggest upgrade yet in AI-generated video and audio. The latest version allows users to generate longer videos, with significant improvements in resolution output and sound.
“Introducing Grok Imagine 1.0, our biggest leap yet. 1.0 unlocks 10-second videos, 720p resolution, and dramatically better audio. Imagine has generated 1.245 billion videos in the last 30 days alone,” read a post on the official X handle of xAI.
Musk reshared the announcement on social media and wrote that Grok Imagine’s version 1.0 is “now in wide release”.
Grok Imagine 1.0: What To Expect?
Pushing AI beyond text and into immersive multimedia experiences, Grok Imagine 1.0 introduces several key changes to enhance the overall user abilities.
The latest update allows users to create videos with a length of up to 10 seconds at 720p resolution. This brings major improvements compared with the earlier versions.
“Experience stories that unfold fully. Sharper detail and smoother motion that draws you deeper into the scene. Videos are now longer and higher resolution,” xAI said.
Further, Grok Imagine 1.0 brings in significant improvements in terms of audio capabilities. Through enhanced audio quality, users now have the chance to add expressive character voices and background music.
“We’ve dramatically improved audio,” xAI said and added that users will be able to hear characters speak with emotional and expressive voices, besides adding immersive music that syncs perfectly to the scene.

It indicates that Imagine 1.0 will understand users’ vision in a better way and even take into consideration any follow-up prompts. This will help people in adjusting scenes, without the requirement to start from the beginning, to bring their projects to life.
xAI claims Grok Imagine 1.0 “excels” in the daily fun content, as people will be allowed to animate old family photos or make memes and clips on other relevant topics.
