SL vs ENG, T20I Series 2026: Sri Lanka will take on England in an exciting three-match T20 International series, starting Friday, Jan. 30. The Lankan Lions take on the visiting Englishmen in the two teams’ final assignment before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. It will be a wonderful preparation for the biannual event, which Sri Lanka will co-host with their neighbours India.
After playing a high-intense ODI series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, England’s tour of Sri Lanka moves to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy for the T20Is. The high-scoring venue will be hosting all three matches of the series.
The Sri Lankans will be led by veteran all-rounder Dasun Shanaka. The hosts carry a good mix of youth and experience within their squad. Apart from Shanaka, their squad contains talented players like Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera and Dunith Wellalage.
England, the two-time world champions, will welcome back speedster Jofra Archer after being rested for the ODI leg of the trip. The squad features the likes of Jos Buttler, Ben Duckett, Jacob Bethell, Phil Salt, Tom Banton, Adil Rashid and Sam Curran.
