IT stocks rallied up to 3% on Thursday on reports that India and the US are likely closing near a trade deal soon. The Nifty IT index jumped as much as 2.4%, with its constituents trading in the green.
Infosys was the top gainer in the Nifty IT index, with its share price gaining as much as 3.7%. HCL Technologies, Mphasis, Tech Mahindra, Persistent Systems, were among other top gainers in the Nifty IT index, rallying over 2% each. Coforge, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and LTI Mindtree rose over 1% each.
