Vadodara’s BCA Stadium will host the fixture to determine the second finalist of the tournament. The winner of the high-stakes clash will meet Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday, Feb. 5.
The Giants became the second team to qualify for the play-offs from the league stage after beating defending champions Mumbai Indians in a crucial encounter on Jan. 30. Ashleigh Gardner’s team achieved its fifth win in eight league games and finished the first round with 10 points, behind only RCB with 12.
The Capitals joined the Giants later on as they hammered the UP Warriorz in their final league game on Sunday, Feb. 1. Led by Jemimah Rodrigues, the Capitals qualified ahead of the Mumbai Indians after a collective performance over the Warriorz saw them come out triumphant by 5 wickets. Since Delhi reached 8 points, they finished third on the table and sealed the eliminator clash with the Giants. Both MI and the Warriorz were eliminated.
