PAK vs AUS T20I Series: Australia are touring Pakistan for a three-match T20I series starting Jan. 29. The three games in four days will give both teams a valuable tune-up ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which begins on Feb. 7.
For Australia, Mahli Beardman and Jack Edwards are both in contention to make their international debuts. Matthew Renshaw is pushing to become a three-format player for Australia.
Australia are touring Pakistan without Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Nathan Ellis and Glenn Maxwell, who are all set to join the World Cup squad. Australian selectors are keen to see how the younger players handle the pressure ahead of finalising their World Cup plans. Mitch Marsh will lead the team as captain for the series.
Pakistan have their full World Cup squad available for the three-match series, with Mohammad Wasim Junior added as extra pace-bowling cover for the Australia tour. Haris Rauf is not part of the squad, while Shaheen Shah Afridi returns from a knee injury.
All eyes will be on Babar Azam, following his poor Big Bash League campaign. How he slots into the batting order will be closely watched ahead of the World Cup. The series will run until Feb. 1.
