Check out the companies making the biggest moves premarket: Verizon Communications — The telecommunications company rose 2% after it reported an earnings beat for the third quarter. The company also hiked its full-year 2026 earnings guidance. Neocloud stocks — Shares of several companies were lower after Elon Musk said in a post on X that “200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death.” CoreWeave was off 5%, while Nebius slid 3.5%, and Iren dropped 4%. Tesla — The electric vehicle company was higher by 2% after Barclays upgraded the stock to overweight. Analysts at the bank said a merger and acquisition opportunity with SpaceX, growth in the company’s Robotaxi business and core business strength are making them more bullish on Tesla’s outlook. Range Resources — The natural gas company rose 15% after EQT Corp announced it would buy the company in a deal that values Range Resources at more than $50 billion. Shares of EQT fell 4%. The all-stock deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027. Moderna — Shares were down 8% as the company’s sell-off following the leak of results from a closely followed cancer vaccine study on Thursday continued. The stock tumbled more than 18% over Thursday and Friday last week. Meta Platforms — The hyperscaler was up by 1% after it announced a $35 billion stock offering to help finance its artificial intelligence build-out. Meta also plans to raise $60 billion through an “at-the-market” program. Ross Stores — The retailer jumped more than 6.5% after UBS upgraded the stock to buy. Analysts at the bank said growing store productivity will help send the stock to above $300. Surgery Partners — Shares surged almost 25% after the Financial Times reported Sunday that Bon Secours Mercy Health was nearing a $6 billion takeover of the healthcare services company. The take-private deal — which the Times, citing sources, reported could be announced as soon as Monday — would value Surgery Partners at $20 per share. Fair Isaac — The data analytics company sank almost 10% after Wells Fargo downgraded the stock to equal weight from overweight. Analysts justified the downgrade after Fair Isaac announced it wouldn’t raise prices to encourage lenders to keep using its FICO score.
