India’s economy grew by 7.8% in the quarter ending June, mainly driven by strong performance in the financial, real estate, information technology and professional services sectors.

According to a Reuters poll, the economy was expected to grow by 7.1% in its fiscal first quarter, below the 7.8% recorded over the previous quarter.
