Sunshine Pictures IPO listing: Shares debut at a 10% premium on the NSE despite weak stock market sentiment | Stock Market News

Sunshine Pictures IPO listing: Sunshine Pictures share price made a positive debut on the Indian bourses on Tuesday, 25 August, despite weak stock market sentiment. Sunshine Pictures shares were listed at ₹394 on the BSE, a 9.44% premium over the issue price of ₹360, while the stock was listed at ₹395.90 on the NSE, a 10% premium over the issue price.

The stock’s listing, however, failed to meet expectations, as grey market trends indicated it could list at a 14% premium.

On Tuesday morning, Sunshine Pictures IPO GMP was ₹50. Considering the upper price band of the issue and the last premium in the grey market, the estimated listing price of Sunshine Pictures shares was ₹410, a 13.89% premium over the issue price.

Meanwhile, equity benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, declined by up to 0.40% in early deals.

Sunshine Pictures IPO details

Priced at ₹360 per share, the Sunshine Pictures IPO opened for public subscription on Tuesday, 18 August, and concluded on Thursday, 20 August, with an overall subscription of nearly 106 times. Share allotment was finalised on Friday, 21 August .

Sunshine Pictures IPO was a fresh issue of 48,00,034 shares to raise ₹172.80 crore, and an offer for sale (OFS) of 30,37,157 shares, aggregating to ₹109.34 crore.

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the fresh issue of shares to fund working capital requirements as well as for general corporate purposes.

Sunshine Pictures is a production house which creates and distributes films, TV serials, and web series. Its net standalone revenue from operations was ₹74.44 crore, while standalone total comprehensive income was ₹40.07 crore in FY26.
