Lalithaa Jewellery share price made a strong stock market debut on Monday, listing at a premium of nearly 32% over its issue price of ₹201 on both the NSE and BSE. The stock later extended its gains, rising 36.5% from the Lalithaa Jewellery IPO issue price.

On the BSE, Lalithaa Jewellery share price opened at ₹265.30, a premium of 31.99% against the issue price. On the NSE, the stock listed at ₹265, up 31.84% from the IPO price.

After a strong market debut, Lalithaa Jewellery share price witnessed some profit booking in afternoon trade on Monday. Around 1 pm, the stock was trading at ₹261.75 on the BSE, down ₹3.55, or 1.34%, while on the NSE, it stood at ₹261.65, down ₹3.44, or 1.32%.

Following the strong listing, the company’s market valuation stood at ₹14,462.90 crore.

The Lalithaa Jewellery IPO received a strong response from investors, with the initial public offering subscribed 62.97 times on the final day of bidding last Wednesday. The jewellery retailer had also raised ₹508 crore from anchor investors, including Goldman Sachs, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund and Bandhan Mutual Fund.

The Lalithaa Jewellery IPO price band was fixed at ₹190–201 per share. The public issue comprised a fresh issue of up to ₹1,200 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to ₹500 crore.

What’s next for investors?

Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth at Swastika Investmart Ltd, said Lalithaa Jewellery Mart made a strong market debut, listing at around a 32% premium to its IPO price, reflecting robust investor interest. She noted that the company appears attractively valued compared with organised jewellery peers such as Kalyan Jewellers and Titan, while its return on equity (ROE) of over 41% highlights strong capital efficiency.

However, Nyati cautioned that the business remains inventory-heavy, with negative operating cash flow of around ₹397.7 crore in FY26. She also flagged the ₹1,066 crore GST dispute and promoter-related concerns as key risks for investors.

Following the sharp gains in the listing, Nyati advised investors not to chase the stock at higher levels. She maintained a positive but cautious view, suggesting that existing investors may continue to hold the stock with a stop-loss of ₹245 on a closing basis, while fresh investors should wait for a meaningful correction before considering an entry.
