Tempsens Instruments IPO has entered its last day of bidding on Monday, 24 August. The ₹650 crore IPO, which had opened for bidding on 20 August, has been subscribed over 21.66x so far.
The company has fixed the price band for the IPO at ₹285– ₹300 per share and plans to raise a total of ₹650 crore through the Tempsens Instruments IPO. Of this amount, ₹555 crore will be raised through an Offer for Sale (OFS), while the remaining ₹95 crore will come from the issue of fresh shares.

By 5:00 PM on the second day, the public issue had garnered 21.66 times subscription, with the retail category subscribed 18.67 times and the NII segment 52.98 times. Meanwhile, the QIB portion had been subscribed 3.31 times.

According to market observers, Tempsens Instruments shares are commanding a grey market premium (GMP) of ₹330 today. This indicates that the Tempsens Instruments IPO GMP stands at ₹330, equivalent to 104% of the upper end of the IPO’s price band. At this level, the grey market premium suggests that successful allottees could potentially see a listing gain of around 104%.
Tempsens Instruments IPO Review
Brokerage firm Anand Rathi has given ‘subscribe – long-term’ rating to the Tempsens Instruments IPO.
“Tempsens Instruments Limited, at an implied P/E of 35.4x and EV/EBITDA of 25.64x on FY26 earnings at the upper price band. Given its strong revenue growth, diversified product portfolio and expanding international presence, the company may command a valuation premium. The IPO valuation appears fully priced at the upper band and we initiate a “Subscribe: Long Term” on the IPO,” the firm said.
Meanwhile, KC Securities, while assigning a ‘subscribe’ tag to the public issue, added, “At the upper price band of ₹300, the issue is valued at 37.3x FY26 P/E, which is at a premium but can be justified by its superior growth, niche positioning and leadership in the segment. Overall, we view Tempsens as an attractive growth-oriented industrial opportunity, with potential for long-term value creation. Hence, we recommend Investors to subscribe to the issue with Listing Gain as well as a long-term horizon.”
Adroit Financial Services, Ajcon Global Services, Arihant Capital Markets, BP Equities, Canara Bank Securities, Geojit Investments, GEPL Capital, Marwadi Shares & Finance, Swastika Investmart, and Ventura Securities have also recommended subscribing to the Tempsens Instruments IPO.
Tempsens Instruments IPO details
Tempsens Instruments is looking to raise ₹650 crore through its initial public offering (IPO), which will remain open for subscription until August 24. The issue comprises a fresh issue of 32 lakh shares aggregating ₹95 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 1.85 crore shares valued at ₹555 crore.
The IPO has fixed a price band of ₹285-300 per share, with a lot size of 50 shares. At the upper price band, retail investors will have to invest a minimum of ₹15,000 to subscribe to one lot.
The basis of IPO allotment is likely to be finalised on August 25, while the company’s shares are expected to be listed on both the NSE and BSE on August 28. ICICI Securities Ltd is acting as the book-running lead manager, while KFin Technologies Ltd has been appointed as the registrar to the issue.
Tempsens Instruments plans to utilise ₹73.13 crore of the net proceeds from the fresh issue to fund its expansion initiatives and improve its financial position. Of this, ₹18.13 crore will be invested in capital expenditure for its electrical heating and specialised cable solutions businesses. Another ₹55 crore will be used towards the prepayment or scheduled repayment of certain outstanding borrowings.
The balance proceeds will be deployed for general corporate purposes, providing the company with flexibility to address its broader operational and business needs. Overall, the IPO proceeds are expected to support the expansion of its capabilities while helping reduce its debt obligations.
